When Julian first walked onto the property four years ago, half the structural beams were sagging, and rain leaked through the cedar shingles. Rather than clearing the land for modern construction, he saw an opportunity to honor local architectural heritage.

Working exclusively with traditional woodworking tools, the renovation took thirty months of painstaking effort. "Every timber tells a story of the person who shaped it two hundred years ago," Julian says.

The interior balances raw timber warmth with minimalist modern finishes. Natural wool textiles, soapstone counters, and hand-forged iron hardware anchor the space to its New England roots.
